N E W S R E L E A S E FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Nov. 30, 2015 Contact: Meghan Pembroke, communications director, [PHONE REDACTED] Celebrate the holidays with Santa in Everett Santa, carolers, holiday goodies at Wetmore Plaza on Dec. 3rd EVERETT – Celebrate the holidays at Everett’s annual Wintertide event Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015. The family-friendly event is free, and runs from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Wetmore Theatre Plaza, located in front of the Everett Performing Arts Center at 2710 Wetmore Avenue. Enjoy a toasty bonfire, children’s music, free hot cocoa and cookies while watching the tree lighting and the arrival of Santa on an Everett fire truck. Santa is expected to arrive at 5:30 p.m. “Wintertide is always a community favorite, and this year we have even more activities, more music and more shows,” said Carol Thomas, cultural arts manager. “You won’t want to miss out, so bundle up the family and make an evening of it.” Throughout the evening, kids can get their faces painted, make crafts, ride around the block on the Rotary Express train, create memories in the holiday-themed photo booth, and take a photo with Santa. Families can also enjoy special short shows at the Cope Gillette Theatre, where KIDSTAGE will present scenes and songs from “The Jungle Book” at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. All performances and activities are free to the public.
