Smith Island/Union Slough Habitat Restoration Project City of Everett Public Works, Heather Griffin (425) 257-7206 Page 1 Site location and description: The site is located on Smith Island and is bounded to the south by 4th Street SE, to the west by the City wastewater treatment Oxidation Pond, to the north by a setback dike and to the east by Union Slough. Tidal waters were restored to the site in October 2007 creating a 57.9 acre advanced wetland mitigation site. The projects below describe the use of mitigation from the 57.9 acre site.
