Grandmas, mothers and aunties, are invited to bring their boys of all ages to the fun-filled evening. Engage together at indoor Halloween-themed activities. Enjoy seasonal treats and drinks, spooky decorations and upbeat music for dancing. Relish one-on-one time together or coordinate with buddies, cousins and neighbors to multiply the fun. ---PAGE BREAK--- Check-in at Floral Hall in Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd, at 6 p.m., and take a turn in the photo booth for free souvenir prints. PJ Parsons, a live DJ, will play a mix of popular music from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Parks programmer Jan Tanner said the Monster Mash is an opportunity for women and their children to relax and reconnect in a light-hearted way. “Take a time out from the daily routine to laugh and make a memory together,” she said, adding that the event is just as much for adult children as it is for little kids. “You’re never too old to dance with your mom.” The Monster Mash was inspired by the perennial success of the parks department’s father- daughter dance in February: “Multiple generations from the same family come, and some of them make a night of it with flowers, dinner out or a fancy car. We thought mothers and sons needed that, too.” Tickets are $29 for each mother-child pair, and $6 for each additional son. Pre-registration is required. To learn more or register, go to or call or visit the Recreation Office between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday: [PHONE REDACTED], ext. 2.
