N E W S R E L E A S E FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Aug. 24, 2015 Contact: Marla Carter, public education and information manager, [PHONE REDACTED] Closure of Broadway Avenue and California Avenue intersection delayed EVERETT – The closure at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and California, originally thought to begin on Monday, Aug. 24, has been delayed two days. City contractor crews will close the intersection, around-the-clock beginning at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, as part of the Broadway Bridge replacement project. Signs will be posted advising motorists of the closure and southbound traffic will be detoured at Everett Avenue. Businesses located west of the intersection can be accessed from Lombard Avenue. Businesses east of the intersection can be accessed from McDougall Avenue. During the closure, the roadway will be raised to match the new bridge and the roadway will be paved.
