N E W S R E L E A S E FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Aug. 3, 2015 Contact: Marla Carter, public information & education manager, [PHONE REDACTED] City of Everett Launches Downtown Parking Survey EVERETT – The City of Everett is studying ways to make improvements to parking in the downtown. An update to the Everett Downtown Parking Management Study is underway to examine current parking conditions and explore future solutions. As an early step, the City is surveying downtown business owners and other employers in the central business district to get their assessment of the current situation, and their ideas about effective parking strategies for the future. The survey asks those who are the downtown’s closest observers how well the current parking system is working, and what steps are needed to reduce parking congestion in the central business district. The survey is available on-line at The survey is being conducted in partnership with Downtown Everett Association and the Economic Alliance of Snohomish County. Survey results will be presented at a Parking Forum scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Everett Station – Weyerhaeuser Room. The forum is open to downtown employers and other interested persons.
