No fee for league spectators, but you must sign in. Locker keys are only issued with Rec pass, current driver's license, car keys, or key card. Lost key fee is $10. No smoking or alcoholic beverages. Food and beverages are allowed in lobby only. Shirts and shoes are required in weight rooms and lobby. Children under 9 must be super- vised by a person, 16 years or older. CARDIO ROOM Elliptical Cross Trainers, Stairmasters, Lifecycles, Treadmills & TV. Must be 16 years minimum. 0-15 years may enter the cardio room and view racquetball if directly supervised by a non-participating per- son, 16 years or older. Infants confined to a baby carrier are allowed in the cardio room with a non-participating adult. Children 5 - 8 years old must be directly supervised at all times by a person, 16 years of age or older, either from the pool deck or in the water with the child. To use the slides, tubes, and Jungle Run, children under 54” must take a swim test or present a Level 3 or higher American Red Cross Learn to Swim Card. Swim diapers are recommended for infants & toddlers and are avail- able at the front desk for 75¢. Visit or call the Rec Center front desk at 789-1770. 2. Only one reservation may be made at a time, maximum 7 days in advance. 3. Individuals must make their own reservations. 4. An additional reservation may be made upon checking in for a class you have reserved, in person only, or any time after you have completed a class you have reserved. 5. Class reservations are accepted on a first come first service basis, limited to 15 bikes. 6. After a class is filled, a waiting list will be made to prioritize individuals to replace “no shows” and cancellations, only if they have checked in at the front desk before class. 7. Reservation must be cancelled if you cannot attend a minimum of 15 minutes before class. 8. Reservations will automatically be cancelled & space filled from waiting list and then the general publc, starting 5 minutes after the scheduled start of the class. Learn to throw and pin an attacker with little resistance, using body mechanics and leverage and how to properly roll and fall. Aikido instills discipline, coordination, and personal awareness. This dynamic mar- tial art is non-competitive and excellent for all ages. Aikido is a ranked sys- tem and all testing is at the discretion of the instructor. Instructor: Robert Matzelle, currently holds rank of Shodan (First Degree Black Belt) in Aikido. Robert Matzelle has trained in Aikido for 11 years and was the assistant instructor at Kanazuchi Dojo in Gilberts, Illinois for four years. Parent and Child Aquatics builds swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water. Parents and children participate in several guided practice sessions that help children learn elementary skills, including water entry, bub- ble blowing, front kicking, back floating, underwater exploration and more. Both levels require a parent in the water. Level A For children who are at least 6 months old, who have had little or no previous water experience. Level B For children who have had two or more sessions of Level A, and are at least 18 months old PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS Private and Semi-Private lessons are only offered in two week ses- sions of four classes. All classes will be ½ hour each. Classes will be available from 9:00 - 9:30 am and 9:30 - 10:00 am. The first win- ter session will begin January 8, with new sessions starting every two weeks. The fee for one student private lessons is $40. The fee for two stu- dent semi-private lessons is $25 each. The fee for three student semi-private lessons is $20 each. LEARN TO SWIM LEVELS 1 - 6 (4 years old & up) The Learn-to-Swim program is a unique six-level instructional approach unlike anything offered by other aquatic training programs. Our instructors are trained and certified by the American Red Cross. Learn-to-Swim booklets are included with the registration fee to enhance your child's swimming experience for Levels 1-2, and Levels 3-4. The prerequisite for each level is the successful demonstration of the skills from the preceding level, except for Level 1, which has no prerequisite. Students will pass a level only when they complete all the skills and the exit skills assessments. Students will usually need to take a session more than once to per- form the required skills proficiently.
