Application El Cerrito Home Energy Assessment Rebate Through grant funding, the El Cerrito Environmental Services Division is providing up to $250 in rebates to offset the cost of completing a whole house energy performance assessment for energy efficiency projects that would qualify under the Energy Upgrade California Program (www.energyupgradeca.org). The rebates will cover 100% of the assessment costs up to $250. Funding is limited. Rebates are paid on a first-come, first-serve basis until 12/31/2011, or until funds are depleted, whichever comes first. Eligibility: Only energy assessments performed by a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified building analyst or contractor, completed for single-family dwellings in the City of El Cerrito, and performed no earlier than 2/1/11 are eligible. In order to receive the rebate, I have enclosed a copy of the invoice for the assessment and either a copy of the assessment report or the executive summary of the report. Upon receipt of all required materials, the City shall make the rebate payable directly to me within 30 days. If the City has questions about my application or part of my application is incomplete, I understand program staff may contact me and that any incomplete information may affect the rebate availability.
