City Hall Gallery Space ARTIST’S AGREEMENT I, the undersigned representative and/or owner of certain original works of art, photographs, or displays listed below (or incorporated as an attachment), do hereby acknowledge that I have voluntarily requested that the City of El Cerrito temporarily permit the display of such works in the Gallery Space Area of the El Cerrito City Hall. I further acknowledge that I am solely responsible for the mounting, framing and hanging of such works of art, and for the removal of the art after the end of the display period. I agree to be financially responsible for making any repairs necessary due to any damage, holes, scratches or marks to the walls or surrounding area due to my artwork installation and display. I understand that the City of El Cerrito reserves the right to remove any artwork that is inconsistent with the representative sample provided to the Arts and Culture Commission for approval. I hereby waive any claim for loss, damage or injury to the works of art or caused by the works of art, during the installation and display period and until the works of art are removed by me from the City Hall Gallery Space and I agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the City of El Cerrito and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claim or suit for loss, damage or injury to the works of art or caused by the works of art while the works of art are at City Hall, including loss, damage or injury resulting from the acts of third parties, fire, or water, but excluding loss, damage or injury resulting from the sole active negligence of the City or of the City's officers, employees or agents. I further acknowledge that the total value of the works of art is and that the individual value is as shown on the list below or attached hereto.
