NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – EL CERRITO CITY COUNCIL CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 10890 SAN PABLO AVENUE, EL CERRITO, CA MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE EAST BAY SANITARY SERVICE COMMERCIAL GREEN WASTE AND EXTRA RESIDENTIAL GREEN WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL RATES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2012 MONDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2011 AT 7:30 P.M. The City is proposing to set the maximum allowable rates for the collection and disposal of commercial green waste and extra residential green waste effective January 1, 2012. Green waste collection includes yard debris, food scraps, and other accepted compost items as determined by the City. Daily collection of commercial and multi-family green waste is a new solid waste service option that will offered to commercial and multifamily (greater than 4 units) effective January 1, 2012. Collection of additional green waste containers for residential (single family and multifamily 4 units and fewer) above the weekly collection of one 64 gallon green waste container, currently provided as a base level of service to all residential is currently offered, but the City has not previously set maximum allowable rates for this service.
