RESOLUTION 2004-94 r, I i i , RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL CERRITO DECLARING CANVASS OF GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 2, 2004, AND ACCEPTING CERTIFICATE OF THE COUNTY CLERK OF THE STATEMENT OF THE RESULTS OF THE ELECTION. WHEREAS, the City of El Cerrito held a general election on November 2, 2004 for the purpose of electing the following municipal officers of said City of El Cerrito: Three Councilmembers for four years; and WHEREAS, said general election was held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, in accordance yvith Jay;, and the votes thereof received and canvassed and the return thereof ascertained, determined, and declared in all respects as required by the law, and the County Clerk of the County 9f Contra Costa has duly filed with the City Clerk a statement of votes of said election; NOW,-THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, determined and declared by the City Council of the City of El Cerrito as follows: 1. That the certificate of the County Clerk of result of the canvass of election returns, now on file with the City Clerk, be and the same is hereby approved and adopted and is hereby entered on the minutes of the City Council as a statement of the votes of said elections. 2. That the whole number of votes cast in said City at said general election was 11,935 votes. 3. That the Utility Users Tax, on the ballot as Measure K, submitted to the voters of the City of El Cerrito was passed. 4. That the list of candidates nominated for the office to be filled at said general election and the names of the candidates which were set forth in the petitions assembled and filed with the City Clerk as required by law, and the number of votes cast in favor of each of the candidates were as follows: (See attached Statement of Votes) 5.
