Annual Work Plan – 2015 Presentation to City Council March 17, 2015 Photos by Dave Weinstein and Mark Miner Agenda Item No. 4(B) ---PAGE BREAK--- Committee of up to 15 citizens Currently 9 sitting on the Committee Meet 2nd Tuesday, 7 PM, City Hall Mission: • To educate, inspire, and activate ourselves and our community to sustainably thrive ---PAGE BREAK--- To serve in an advisory capacity to City Council, staff and other committees with regard to environmental quality issues in El Cerrito To recommend programs and policies to the City Council Foster public awareness, education and interest in the City’s environmental quality efforts ---PAGE BREAK--- 1. Promote environmental action 2. Involve learners of all ages 3. Work with residents and businesses to be more environmentally sustainable 4. Champion the City’s environmental efforts 5. Support GHG emissions reductions 6. Support protection and creation of open green space 7.
