The City is currently developing an Urban Greening Plan and updating its 2007 Circulation Plan for Bicyclists and Pedestrians (now being called the Active Transportation Plan). At this workshop (the first of three), community members will learn about these planning efforts and provide input into the Urban Greening needs assessment and opportunities inventory and confirm the priority bicycle-and-pedestrian network improvements. Information about the City’s San Pablo Avenue Specific and Complete Streets Plan will also be available at the workshop. The July 23rd workshop is the first of three community workshops: Workshop Preliminary Concepts and Recommendations Saturday, October 19, 2013 I 9am - 12pm El Cerrito Community Center, 7007 Moeser Lane Workshop Draft Plan Saturday, March 8, 2014 I 9am - 12pm El Cerrito Community Center, 7007 Moeser Lane active & Transportation Funding provided by Proposition 84 to Improve the Sustainability and Livability of California’s Communities through the Strategic Growth Council’s Urban Greening for Sustainable Communities grant program and a Transportation Development Act (TDA), Article 3 State grant for projects designed for the benefit and use of bicyclists and pedestrians.
