CONVENE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING Mayor Jones convened the Special City Council meeting at 7:16p.m. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC- One speaker. COMMISSION INTERVIEWS, STATUS AND APPOINTMENTS Discuss appointments to city boards and commissions. Discussion may result in an announcement of appointment at the meeting. The City Council may also discuss scheduling of future interviews. Action: Mayor Jones announced the following commission appointments: Arts and Culture Commission - Luis Zavala and Heidi Rand appointed to terms concluding on January 1, 2013. Economic Development Board- Carla Hanson to a term concluding on January 1, 2013. Parks & Recreation Commission - Michael Aaronian to a term beginning approximately June 2012 and concluding on January 1, 2014.
