However, if the DBE finds a more optimal configuration for their proposed technology at a particular site, the DBE may propose an alternative configuration under this section of the proposal. Please clearly state the advantages of the proposed alternative. The renovation involves demolition of the existing buildings and a new layout for the campus, as well as expansion into previously unused space, as shown in Figure 16. New construction is 99% complete and also included installation of a 10 KW-DC system on 4 bays of the circular shed structure, as shown in Figure A1 below. The City of El Cerrito wishes to make the entire facility grid-neutral. In order to reach that goal, an additional 34-kW DC (in addition to the existing 10 kW system) is recommended. Projected energy use at the new facility, including all interior building and exterior process loads, has been calculated to be 56,900 kWh. Construction drawings of the Site Power Plan, and Electrical Details, including those for the existing PV array, can be viewed at http://www.el-cerrito.org/Bids.aspx.
