The tenant agrees to save and hold harmless Elbert County from all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, expenses and reasonable attorney’s fees of any kind, resulting from any phase of the conduct of an event on the Elbert County Fairgrounds. Elbert County shall not be liable for the loss or damage of any of the tenant’s property or any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages to tenant’s business or function.  Pets must be leashed and under control at all times, on a maximum six-foot leash, and not attached to any County signs, trees, shrubs, or hydrants. Pets may not be left unattended. All pet dropping must be picked up and properly disposed of in dumpster on the southeast corner of the Agricultural Building.  All trash should be bagged and placed in the dumpster located on the east side of the Ag Building. For sewage waste, the Elbert County Fairgrounds provides a sewage dump facility for an additional fee. Please coordinate usage of the dump site with the Elbert County Fairgrounds Manager.  Camping is limited to 14 days in any 45 day period. Any tenant staying longer than 14 days, or violating these rules, will be subject to eviction by the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office. Any tenant who is delinquent in payment by three days or more will be subject to eviction.  During the time period of November 1st through April 1st, all RV’s must unhook hoses from the hydrants. Campers are allowed to connect to the hydrant to fill RV holding tanks, but may not stay connected to the hydrant for prolonged periods of time. The hydrants will freeze and break. If hoses are not unhooked from the hydrant causing it to break, Camper will be held liable for replacement costs. The Elbert County Fairgrounds will not be held responsible for any damages to RV when not unhooked from the hydrant.  Camping fees must be paid in advance prior to being admitted to the campground.  Observe campground “quiet hours” from 10 PM to 6 AM. All generators must be turned off during these hours.  A maximum of six people, one RV or camper, and two vehicles are allowed per site.  Any vehicles in the campground must be in running condition and have valid license plates.  Absolutely nothing is to be hung on, from, or attached in any way to, trees, shrubs, or any County buildings or signage.  Parking at site is limited to the length of site. NO VEHICLES may be parked on either side of the roadways. Additional vehicles or trailers must park in the area east of the Agricultural Building, north of the playground.  The washing or repairs of motor vehicles are not allowed in the campground.  The restrooms in the Agricultural Building are not to be used for washing dishes or cooking items.  All personal items are to be removed from the restrooms after use. Any items left will be discarded upon regular cleaning.  Smoking is not permitted in any County building.  Gas and propane grills are allowed in the campground, providing there is not a current fire ban in effect. Open flame fires are not permitted.  Littering, including cigarette butts, is unlawful and harmful to wildlife and the environment and will not be permitted.  Elbert County is not responsible for items left at the campsites.  Any violation of these rules is cause for immediate eviction. Refund Policy: In the event that a camper does not stay for the full term in which they have pre-paid, the balance will be refunded. If the initial payment was made in cash, the refund can be paid back immediately. If the initial payment was in the form of a check, a refund will be mailed back to the camper after 30 days of leaving the grounds.
