Swimming Pool in a LOMR, LOMR-F, or Zone X Flood Hazard Area To Construct a swimming pool in a LOMR, LOMR-F, or Zone X Flood Hazard area, all the below requirements shall be met. • Must provide written documentation, stamped by a registered design professional, certifying that the pool will have structural components capable of resisting hydrostatic and hydrodynamic loads and effects of buoyancy (will not be subject to breaking up or floating out of the ground). • To offset hydrostatic forces during a flood event, a hydrostatic relief valve shall be installed at the time of construction of the pool.
