1.20 LIMITATION ON AMOUNT ALLOWED FOR DOG DAMAGE CLAIMS THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF DOUGLAS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: I. AUTHORITY This ordinance is created pursuant to the authority provided under Section 174.11 of the Wisconsin Statutes. II. LIMITATION ON CLAIMS FOR DAMAGE BY DOGS TO DOMESTIC ANIMALS The maximum amount that may be allowed for a claim for damages by dogs to domestic animals, including loss of fair market value, injury or death, under Section 174.11 of the Wisconsin Statutes, is limited to $1,000.00 per domestic animal. III. EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication. Dated this 15th day of May, 1997.
