Permitted Uses Facilities such as, but not limited to the following: Retail stores and shops offering convenience goods and services. Business and professional offices and studios. Banks and savings and loan offices. Public and semipublic buildings and institutions. Commercial entertainment facilities. Laundromats (Chapter 8.0). Restaurants. Taverns. Medical and dental clinics. Auto service stations and maintenance facilities. Public and private marinas. Recreation service-oriented facilities as stated in the RR-1 District. Motels and tourist homes. Rooming and boarding houses. Essential services and utilities intended to serve the principal permitted use. 2. Uses Authorized by Conditional Permit Public and semipublic conditional uses as stated in the R-1 District. New and used car sales establishments. Wholesaling establishments. Transportation terminals. Farm implements sales firms. Outdoor theaters. Miniature golf, go-karts and amusement parks. Drive-in establishments offering in-car service to customers. Single family dwellings and mobile homes, but only when occupied by owners and/or persons engaged in commercial activities on the premises. ---PAGE BREAK--- 1 Unless specified elsewhere in this ordinance or on the Official Zoning Map, the dimensional requirements of this schedule shall apply to the respective listed districts. Requirements for the W-1; Resource Conservation, SP-1; Shoreland Protection, and PUD (Planned Unit Development) are contained on the Official Zoning Map. 2 Minimum area for one-family dwellings: add 5,000 square ft. for each additional unit over one 3 Backlot: A parcel or tract of land located within a shoreland that does not front a navigable body of water, capable of being occupied by one residence and the accessory buildings or uses customarily incidental to it. 4 No lot shall be created with a length to width ratio greater than three to one 5 Setback requirements from rivers and streams = 125 ft. from the ordinary highwater mark (OHWM), EXCEPT the St. Croix, Brule and Eau Claire Rivers = 200 ft. C-1 Zone District Setbacks and Dimensional Requirements for Land Within Shorelands 8.4 Shoreland Zoning Ordinance / 2.1 Areas to be Regulated Areas regulated by this ordinance shall include all the lands (referred to herein as shorelands): 2.11 Within one thousand (1,000) feet of the ordinary highwater mark (OHWM) of navigable lakes, ponds or flowages. 2.12 Within three hundred (300) feet of the ordinary highwater mark (OHWM) of navigable rivers or streams, or to the landward side of the floodplain, whichever distance is greater.
