4.35 UNNECESSARY NOISE AND/OR ACCELERATION THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF DOUGLAS DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. INTENT A. No person shall, upon any county highway, make unnecessary and/or annoying noises with a motor vehicle by squealing tires and/or excessive acceleration of an engine; or B. No person shall make or control unnecessary and/or loud noises from inside a motor vehicle by way of radio, stereo system, compact disc or cassette tape using increased volume in such manner that causes a disturbance that it can be heard more than 100 feet from the vehicle. SECTION II. PENALTY Whoever violates this ordinance is subject to a forfeiture not to exceed more than $500.00. SECTION III. PUBLICATION This ordinance shall take effect and be in force after its passage and publication as required by law. Dated this 20th day of August, 1998.
