Douglas County Current Trail Conditions – 12/7/2011 file:///CI/Documents and Settings/jlangenecker/Desktop/Douglas County Current Trail Conditions.htm[12/9/2011 10:54:57 AM] Douglas County Current Trail Conditions – 12/7/2011 NE Quadrant - Trails are being worked on and they will be opened as snow and conditions allow. NW Quadrant - Trails within the City of Superior are open for use at this time-with only a minimal dusting of snow at this time. As of Dec 7 2011 none of the trails for winter time use are open. Most of the winter time trails now have gates on them, and are closed at this time. There is about 2 inches of snow and very little frost. We will update as conditions change. SW Quadrant - Cozy Corner Trails system is not yet open. We will continue to work on the trails, insuring that they are safe for all prior to opening. Please continue to watch for new deadfalls and branches throughout the 2011-2012 snowmobile season. The storms of 2011 may continue to create hazards throughout the year. SE Quadrant - All summer trails are open and ready for use with minimal snow base at this time. The various winter trails remain closed but are being worked on and need additional cold weather to freeze sufficiently for safe operation. Trail 3 - Open for use with minimal base. Douglas County Ski Trails - Closed until the area receives sufficient snowfall.
