Douglas County Weekly Snowmobile and Winter ATV Trail Report Information provided by Club Members of the Northwest Trails Association and compiled by the Douglas County Forestry Department. UPDATED 04/02/2014 ALL WINTER RECREATION TRAIL SEGMENTS UNDER OUR MANAGEMENT HAVE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON... THE TRAILS ARE BEING CLOSED DUE TO OUR PRIVATE LAND AGREEMENTS EXPIRING ON APRIL 1. BELOW IS A COPY OF THE LEGAL NOTICE THAT HAS RUN IN THE TELEGRAM: LEGAL NOTICE The Douglas County Forestry Department announces that all Winter Recreation trail segments under its management will close for the season effective Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11:59 PM Local Time. Also, all Year Round Recreation trails will temporarily close on 11:59 PM Local Time Monday, March 31, 2014 except for the following trail segments: 1. Gandy Dancer Trail — MN/W1 Stateline to Patzau 2. Saunders Grade — MN/WI Stateline to Schallameir Road parking lot 3. Wild Rivers Trail — Douglas Co./Washburn Co. line to a point 500 feet north of County Highway 4.
