Chapter 5.05, Page 14 5.05 IMPLEMENTS OF HUSBANDRY ORDINANCE THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF DOUGLAS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. PURPOSE Pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 348.15(9)(f), all implements of husbandry (including Category B implements of husbandry) defined in Wisconsin Statute 340.01(24)(a) 1.b operating on highways under the jurisdiction of Douglas County m a y not exceed the weight limits imposed b y Wisconsin Statute 348.15(3)(g). SECTION II. AUTHORITY To exceed the length and/or weight limitation on highways under the jurisdiction of Douglas County, a no-fee permit m a y be applied for from the Douglas County Highway Department. SECTION III. JURISDICTION Pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 348.27(19)(b) 4m.a., in the event an application for a no fee permit is made to Douglas County for a Category B implement of husbandry as defined in Wisconsin Statute 340.01(24)(a) 1.b., Douglas County is required to provide an approved alternate route, which may include highways that are not under jurisdiction of Douglas County if prior approval has been given b y the jurisdiction over the alternate routes not under jurisdiction of Douglas County for operation of Category B implements of husbandry as defined in Wisconsin Statute 340.01(24)(a) 1.b. SECTION IV. EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance shall take effect January 1, 2016. SECTION V. This ordinance shall remain in full force and effect permanently until either duly amended o r repealed b y the Douglas County Board of Supervisors as mandated b y Wisconsin Statute 348.15(9)(g). SECTION VI. All ordinance or parts of ordinances inconsistent with or in contradiction of the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Dated this 16th day of April, 2015.
