4.02B FIREWORKS THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF DOUGLAS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. PERMIT No person shall fire, explode, or set off any cracker, or other thing containing powder or other combustible or explosive material, or set off any fireworks without first obtaining a permit from the respective jurisdiction. Such permit will fix a specific time and place, and such permit is subject to revocation any time after the same has been issued. SECTION II. VIOLATIONS Any cracker or device containing more than one quarter grain (16.2 milligrams) of explosive mixture are in violation of this provision. The weight of one quarter grain is equivalent to the weight of the amount of striker material or power contained in one and one-half paper matches.
