Chapter 3.12, Page 46 3.12 FAIR HOUSING ORDINANCE THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF DOUGLAS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: That Ordinance #3.4 of the Douglas County Code of Ordinances is hereby repealed and re-created as Ordinance #3.12, as follows: SECTION I. AUTHORITY Pursuant to the authority granted under Sections 66.1011 and 106.50, of the Wisconsin Statutes, the Douglas County Board of Supervisors hereby adopts Section 106.50 of the Wisconsin Statutes, as amended, and all subsequent amendments thereto. SECTION II. PURPOSE The officials and employees of Douglas County shall assist in the orderly prevention and removal of all discrimination in housing with the County of Douglas by implementing the authority and enforcement procedures set forth in Section 106.50 of the Wisconsin Statutes, as amended. SECTION III. PROCEDURE The Douglas County Clerk shall maintain forms for complaints to be filed under Section 106.50 of the Wisconsin Statutes, as amended, and shall assist any person alleging a violation thereof in the County of Douglas to file a complaint thereunder with the Wisconsin Department of Work Force Development, Equal Rights Division, for enforcement of Section 106.50 of the Wisconsin Statutes, as amended. SECTION IV. EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage and publication. Dated this 19th day of March, 2009.
