1139805 Book 1831 Page 47 Recorded 6/4/2025 At 3:54 PM Karen Rimmer, Converse County Clerk & Recorder STATE OF WYOMING CITY OF DOUGLAS ORDINANCE NO. 1052 CONVERSE COUNTY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 8.20.080 PERTAINING TO MINIMUM FINES FOR CERTAIN NUISANCE RELATED CODE VIOLATIONS WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Douglas finds and determines that the following changes and clarifications need to be made in regard to the City of Douglas Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the City has undertaken significant effort to calculate its administrative costs in investigating, noticing, and abating nuisances in the City, and the amended minimum fines reflect the actual costs to the City in investigating and prosecuting nuisance matters; and WHEREAS, consideration has been given to ensure fairness to all City of Douglas residents and make new regulations reasonable. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF DOUGLAS, WYOMING: Section 8.20.080 of the Douglas Municipal Code is hereby amended to add Subsection D, Section 1. which reads as follows: D. For violations of Sections 8.20.160, 8.20.200, 8.20.210, 8.20.215, and 8.20.230 of the Douglas Municipal Code, the following minimum fines shall be imposed. For the first offense resulting in conviction, the minimum fine shall be two hundred and fifty dollars ($250). On a second offense resulting in conviction or subsequent conviction within five years, the minimum fine shall be four hundred and fifty dollars ($450).
