ADDENDUM #1 To the BIDDING AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS For the OAK STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Project No. 15-042 Prepared for: City of Douglas 101 North Fourth St. Douglas, WY 82633 Date of the Addendum February 7, 2020 Receipt of this Addendum must be acknowledged by filling in the spaces provided below and including one copy attached to the bid. All bidders are expected to thoroughly examine each item enumerated herein, regardless of its apparent application and shall be responsible for furnishing all labor and materials required in the division of work that the items indicate. I. SECTION II: CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. Standard Form of Agreement, Article 3.2: DELETE the substantial completion date of “May 1st, 2020” and REPLACE with “August 1st, 2020.” B. Standard Form of Agreement, Article 3.2: DELETE the final completion date of “May 15th, 2020” and REPLACE with “August 15th, 2020.” C. Bid Schedule: DELETE the Bid Schedule in its entirety and REPLACE with the attached Bid Schedule. II. SECTION III: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS A. SECTION 01 025, Measurement and Payment: in the “Replace Meter Pit Assembly” Method of Payment, REMOVE “coil tandem meter pit” from the first sentence and REPLACE with “thermal-coil meter pit.” B. SECTION 01 025, Measurement and Payment: in the “Replace Meter Pit Assembly” Method of Payment, REMOVE “composite meter lid” from the second sentence and REPLACE with “cast iron lid.” C. SECTION 01 025, Measurement and Payment: in the “Replace Meter Pit Assembly” Method of Payment, DELETE “curb stop” from the second sentence. ---PAGE BREAK--- 3 Addendum No. 1 February 7, 2020 D. SECTION 01 025, Measurement and Payment: in the “Reconnect Water Services” Method of Payment, DELETE the Description and Method of Payment and ADD the following Description and Method of Payment: Reconnect 1-inch Water Services EA Includes all costs for reconnecting existing 1-inch water services to the new water main including a new saddle, new corporation stop, PE service line, curb stop, valve box and cover if necessary, and all necessary couplings, connections, coatings, anodes, and all excavating, bedding, backfilling, compacting, and chlorinating complete. F. SECTION 01 25, Measurement and Payment: ADD the following Description and Method of Payment: Reconnect 2-inch Water Services EA Includes all costs for reconnecting existing 2-inch water services to the new water main including a new saddle, new corporation stop, PE service line, curb stop, valve box and cover if necessary, and all necessary couplings, connections, coatings, anodes, and all excavating, bedding, backfilling, compacting, and chlorinating complete. G. SECTION 01 040, Coordination: in Part 1; Section 1.3 SEQUENCE OF WORK; ADD No work shall take place on the project from June 11, 2020 to June 14, 2020 (Jackalope Days) on Oak St. between 2nd St. and 4th St. Contractor will be allowed to work on the east side of 4th St. during these dates. Prior to June 11th, 2020, Contractor shall clean up this section of the project, construct necessary ramps to ensure sure low- clearance cars can drive on this section of Oak St., and place base course as necessary to prevent mud in this section of Oak St.” III. DRAWINGS A. SHEET 1, GENERAL NOTES: ADD the following General Note: “15. THE 8-INCH IRRIGATION LINE MAY BE FILLED FROM AN ADJACENT FIRE HYDRANT FOR PRESSURE TESTING THE LINE. COORDINATE WITH THE CITY OF DOUGLAS”. B. SHEET 8, STREET IMPROVEMENTS 1: ADD the following note: “THE SIDEWALK ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF OAK ST. BETWEEN 3RD St. AND THE ALLEY TO THE WEST IS A HEATED SIDEWALK (ELECTRIC). CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE PROPERTY OWNER AND ---PAGE BREAK--- 4 Addendum No. 1 February 7, 2020 REPLACE THE HEATED SIDEWALK UNDER THE PROPOSED ADA RAMP. All costs not included in this schedule that are necessary to provide a complete, functional project as depicted in the Drawings and Specifications are to be considered incidental and merged with the costs of other related items.
