TIPS FOR HIRING A CONTRACTOR Is the contractor licensed? Are they insured & bonded? Have they passed the contractor test for which they are doing work? Be sure you have a contract that at a minimum states what they are doing & for how much. Be sure a permit has been obtained for the work (if required). Get lien releases from the contractors or suppliers when you pay for services & materials. For a list of licensed contractors, please call 358-2132.
