SEPTEMBER 15, 2022 04-22 1 ADDENDUM NO. 1 ADDENDUM NO. 1 Date: September 15, 2022 TO THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS for construction of the CITY OF DOUGLAS, WYOMING – Replacing the roof on City Hall To All Planholders and/or Prospective Bidders: The following changes, additions, and/or deletions are hereby made a part of the Contract Documents for the construction of the CITY OF DOUGLAS, WYOMING – City Hall roof replacement project dated September 2022, as fully and completely as if the same were fully set forth therein: CITY OF DOUGLAS CALL FOR BIDS A. CHANGE completion date to June 30, 2023. B. Replace scope of work in the original bid documents with attached scope. C. Scope of work states Firestone or equivalent, so as long as other manufactures meet or beat Firestone they will be excepted. D. The building does not appear to have insulation in the ceiling. E. The building does not require cover board. F. The covered porch will need to have asphalt shingles replaced. G. The schedule of prices does show the edge trim being replaced. H. The pre-bid was not mandatory. Bid Documments 1. Include new scope of work 2. Use new schedule of prices. All Bidders shall acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this Addendum No. 1 on the Bid Form. Fully Adhere taper system to acheive 1/4 inch per foot (1:48 ) using Twin Pack (Low-rise polyurethane adhesive). 3. Fully Adhere a minimum of 1 layer of Firestone 2.6” Polyisocyanurate foam board, non-composite using Twin Pack (Low- rise polyurethane adhesive). Along the east wall with a ¼” per foot tapper system. 4. Fully Adhere Firestone .060 UltraPly TPO SA (or equivalent) 5. Install system to meet proper drainage at gutter outlets. 6. Replace the porch roof asphalt shingles with a 25 year warrantied shingle. All Roofs A. Warranty: Firestone 10 year Red Shield Limited Warranty covering membrane, roof insulation, and membrane accessories. (or equivalent) Warranty Membrane Thickness, Duration required minimums 15 year maximum .060 UltraPly TPO SA Limit of Liability: No dollar limitation. 1. Scope of Coverage: Repair leaks in the roofing system caused by: a. Ordinary wear and tear of the elements. b. Manufacturing defect in Firestone brand materials. (or equivalent) c. Defective workmanship used to install these materials. d. Damage due to winds up to 55 mph. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 MANUFACTURERS A. Acceptable Manufacturer - Roofing System: Firestone Building Products Co. www.firestonebpco.com. (or equivalent) B. Manufacturer of Insulation and Cover Board: Same manufacturer as roof membrane. C. Manufacturer of Metal Roof Edging: Same manufacturer as roof membrane. 1. Metal roof edging products by other manufacturers are not acceptable. 2.02 ROOFING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION A. Roofing System: 1. Membrane: Self Adhering Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO). 2. Thickness: 60 mil 3. Membrane Attachment: Fully adhered. 4. Comply with applicable local building code requirements. B. Insulation: 1. Maximum Board Thickness: 2.6 inches ; 1 layer. 2. Base Layer: Polyisocyanurate foam board, non-composite. a. Attachment: Low-rise polyurethane adhesive. C. Cover Board: High Density Polyisocyanurate Cover Board: 1. Thickness: 0.5 inch (12.7mm). 2. R-Value: 2.5 based on ASTM tests C158 and C177. QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Applicator Qualifications: Roofing installer shall have the following: 1. Current Firestone Master Contractor status. 2. At least ten years experience in installing specified system. FIELD QUALITY CONTROL A. Inspection by Manufacturer: Provide final inspection of the roofing system by a Technical Representative employed by roofing system manufacturer specifically to inspect installation for warranty purposes (i.e. not a sales person).
