AB - 1 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS – Addendum 1 Sealed Bids for the City of Douglas – Wastewater Treatment Plant Air Header Replacemet Project will be received at Douglas City Hall, 101 North 4th Street, until 11:00 A.M. MDT on May 8th, 2025, and then will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any Bids received after the specified date and time will not be accepted or considered. The City of Douglas Wastewater Treatment Plant Air Headers Replacement Project consists of replacing the aging buried air headers/manifolds with approximately 1900LF 12-inch welded steel pipe with fusion bonded epoxy coating designed for high temperatures. The existing air headers will be abandoned in place and the new air headers will be connected to the existing air valve assemblies with DR17 HDPE pipe. Additionally, the project includes the installation of approximately 3600LF of 2-inch schedule 80 PVC conduit pipe with a pull rope for the future installation for water monitoring equipment including NEMA 4x junction boxes. The project also includes inside mechanical work which primarily consists of installed vortex meters for air flow measurements and air header modifications. The project site has a large stockpile of fill material which can be utilized for the backfill material. A prebid conference will be held at Douglas Public Works on April 17th, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.. Each Bid must be submitted on the Bid Form, accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders, payable to the City of Douglas (OWNER) in an amount not less than five percent of the amount Bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional Bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Work, as prescribed in the Bidding Documents. To perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors, prior to contract award, shall hold or obtain such licenses as required by State Statutes, federal and local laws, and regulations.
