EVICTION PROCESS Approximately 2 working days after judgment has been rendered on your behalf, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will receive the Writ of Possession from the Court. It will be your responsibility to contact Warrant/Civil Division at (770) 577- 5101 to make an appointment to execute the Eviction Process. If you have not called after 30 days, the Writ will be considered inactive. Once a date and time has been established, the Defendant will be given a written notice at least 24 hours prior to the eviction. You are required to have adequate labor at the location to expedite the removal of property. A $25.00 non-refundable fee (effective January 1, 2007) is required at the time of scheduling with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
