Douglas County Office of Risk and Safety Is a Proposed Tenant in the Addition To the Douglas County Transportation Center Connect Douglas is building a 6,000 square foot addition to the Douglas County Transportation Center at 8800 Dorris Road in Douglasville. Connect Douglas is considering having the Douglas County Office of Risk and Safety as a tenant in the building. Risk and Safety is heavily involved in the day-to-day activities of Connect Douglas through programs such as driver training and orientation, accident investigation, insurance and safety policies and procedures. Risk and Safety would occupy three administrative offices in the addition and have access to the training garage that is part of the addition. The minimal cost of having Risk and Safety occupy this space would be absorbed by Connect Douglas. The minimal cost for Risk and Safety to occupy this space would be more than covered by the services this department provides to Connect Douglas. The Transportation Center addition is largely funded by the Federal Transit Administration and is designed solely to advance transit services and programs in Douglas County.
