FOOTBALL This option DOES NOT include any uniform items or accessories. Those who select this option will provide their own uniform and accessories from the 2022 Dawson County cheer season and WILL NOT be included in the uniform order. As a result, the registration fee for this option is reduced. Uniform items are NOT available to purchase a la carte. If any of your cheerleader's uniform items or accessories need replacing for any reason, you will need to select the "Needs New Uniform" option and pay the full price. This option includes shell, skirt, briefs, and poms. As a result, the registration fee for this option is the full price. All cheerleaders needing a new uniform will need to sign up for a sizing appointment. The sign-up link will be available once the registration period has opened. Registrations must be completed and paid in full in order for a uniform to be ordered (this must be done by the advertised registration deadline). Cheerleaders on the wait list are not guaranteed a spot on a team and will only be called in to register if one of the limited extra uniforms fits. When registering online, you will have 2 options: 1. Cheerleading (Uniform NOT Needed) 2. At one point, there was some discussion about the possibility of implementing different regulations on football registration, maximum number of players per age group, etc for the upcoming season. However, after giving everything more thought, it was decided that more time needed to be spent on exploring any changes. For the 2023 season, we will be moving forward under the same guidance as the last few years. For the 2023 season, there will be NO cap on registrations as long as they are completed during the designated registration period (players on the wait list are not guaranteed a spot on a team and will not be called in to register if that would result in exceeding the max of 35 players per team). Any age group with 36 or more registered participants at the end of registration will be split into multiple teams. Player evaluations and drafts will be based on Mountain Football League regulations (to be determined). As the county continues to grow, changes may be inevitable for future seasons; however, there will be no major changes to the 2023 season, with the exception of changes implemented by the MFL, if any.
