DAWSON COUNTY GOVERNMENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Job Title: Software Internship Division: Code Compliance Division Department: Community Development Salary: $15.00 Hour Status: Part-time Temporary/Hourly/Non-Exempt APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 26, 2025 Job Summary: Work with a diverse team responsible for enforcing county ordinances. The Code Compliance Division is responsible for maintaining the health, safety and welfare of the citizens as well as all domestic animals and the people who work with them. They are also responsible for enforcement of all county ordinances, alcohol licensing and permitting, as well as short-term rental management. We are seeking to enhance the functionality and efficiency of our Enterprise Permitting & Licensing (EPL) system, version: 2024.1.1.71, a critical component of our operations. This would provide significant enhancements to improve its functionality and efficiency. Job Requirements: We are pursuing the talents, knowledge, skills and expertise of a college intern to implement object-based programming solutions for EPL module-based solutions, and, any other identified areas to enhance the overall functionality and efficiency of our EPL system. The timespan for this internship is up to 6 months. Applicant must be an undergraduate student, graduate student, recent college graduate, or a high school student 16 years of age or older who is dually enrolled in a college program. Applicant must possess a driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Applicant must pass a background check and drug screening.
