FAMILY CONNECTION COORDINATOR DAWSON COUNTY FAMILY CONNECTION Full-Time/Salary/Exempt JOB SUMMARY Dawson County Family Connection is a county collaborative non-profit that works together to improve conditions for children and families in Dawson County as part of the statewide Georgia Family Connection network. The Family Connection Coordinator position is responsible for planning, facilitating, coordinating and advancing the work addressing community-driven priorities identified by Dawson County Family Connection (DCFC) while preserving the integrity of the local Collaborative and the Georgia Family Connection (GaFCP) statewide network. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Under the direction of the Collaborative governing body, the coordinator, at a minimum will: serve as liaison between the Collaborative Board and the community, and between the Collaborative Board and the GaFCP. ensure that all DCFC and fiscal agent policies and procedures are adhered to. create an annual operating budget for the GaFCP state allocation and any additional contracts for approval by governing body in accordance will all policies and procedures. manage contract budgets and subsequent budget revisions and ensure expenditure reports are prepared and submitted with needs of fiscal agent and grantor allocation requirements. ensure all contract deliverables and reporting requirements, including quarterly reports, self-assessment, financial reports, budget revisions, are met within required time frame. facilitate an annual data review process with DCFC governing body including multiple data sources as well as local agency and community input. assist the DCFC Board in choosing community priorities based on data review findings, developing appropriate strategies to achieve desired outcomes resulting in the Annual Plan. coordinate and/or facilitate meetings/strategy teams/coalitions/events to support desired outcomes identified in the Annual Plan hold Executive Committee and DCFC board meetings to discuss progress, problems, reports and status of financial, planning and accountability responsibilities. keep DCFC Board, government, community groups, key stakeholders and community members aware of the state of families and children as well as activities of Family Connection through various channels including email, website, newsletter, social media and community presentations. DAWSON COUNTY GOVERNMENT 25 Justice Way, Suite 2233 Dawsonville, GA 30534 (706) 344-3501 ---PAGE BREAK--- maintain meeting minutes and official records of the Family Connection non-profit for the required legal period of time. coordinate Community Collaborative meeting to increase awareness of agency resources and promote collaboration among agencies/community partners forming a network of services to meet needs of at-risk children and families. participate in regional GaFCP meetings, relevant partner meetings, conferences, training events and appropriate professional development training. supervise of Family Connection staff. QUALIFICATIONS/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES DESIRED KNOWLEDGE OF: Evaluation methods, tools and reporting Components of budgeting, accounting and expenditure reporting Social media platforms General office practices Meeting procedures and Roberts Rules of Order SKILLED IN: Community team building, work effectively with coalitions and community groups and developing and maintaining partnerships Oral and written communication including presentations and public speaking Organizing and managing multiple projects and priorities Leadership & Management Grant writing skills Data compilation, tracking and interpretation Event planning Computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word ABILITY AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Demonstrates ethical, trustworthy and professional behavior with a commitment to serve the community with respect for cultural diversity Interpersonal relationships. Engaging with and treating fairly, with dignity, respect and compassion, all sectors of the community: general public, community leaders, agency directors, parents, business community and individuals at all economic levels Self-motived, mission-driven and results-oriented, able and willing to learn quickly Work independently Work effectively with coalitions and groups MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree preferred public health, social work, or closely related field) or preferably at least four years’ experience in a human service delivery or community-based program, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Possess a valid Georgia driver license and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
