DAWSON COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS AND REGISTRATION Minutes of Regular Meeting Tuesday July 18, 2024 Chairman, Dale Holland, opened the meeting of the Board of Elections and Registration at 9:30 A.M. on Thursday July 18, 2024 at the Dawson County Board of Elections & Registration offices at 96 Academy Avenue, Dawsonville, GA 30534 with a roll call of Board Members: Paul McComiskey, Marie Head, Katrina Holbrook, and Dan Pichon present. Director of Elections, Mrs. Ferguson, and staff members Rachelle Hanlon and Megan Durant present. Minutes: June 24, 2024 Mr. McComiskey moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Mrs. Holbrook and passed 5-0. Reports: The June Budget report was reviewed by the Board with discussion about postage reimbursement for mass mailing of precinct cards. The June Flash report was reviewed by the Board. The Voter report for June has new total of 26,072 registered voters of which 23,815 are active and 2257 are classed as inactive. Unfinished Business: The ongoing electors list maintenance mailings are going out staggered. New Business: . Mr. Pichon moved to hold a Special Election to be conducted on November 5, 2024, in conjunction with the General Election, to put Act 429, HB 1422 and Act 430, HB1423 to the electorate of Dawson County Georgia. Mr. McComiskey seconded and passed 5-0. The building at 96 Academy Avenue passed the inspection by the Fire Marshall after some modifications. The process for the budget for 2025 will start July 8,2024. Adjournment: Mrs. Holbrook moved adjournment, seconded by Mrs. Hea and passed 5-0 at 10:52 A.M.
