PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT 25 Justice Way I Suite 2322 I Dawsonville, GA 30534 I dawsoncountyga.gov July 7thth, 2025 Third-Party Inspections and Plan Reviews To Whom It May Concern: As you know, Dawson County’s third-party inspection and review program went into effect on July 1st. This program aims to enhance quality assurance for third-party inspectors and plan reviewers. Please note that as of today, July 7th, 2025, we have had a limited response to our program. If the third-party agency is not approved by Dawson County, we will no longer accept third-party inspections from them. A current list of approved agencies can be found on our website. We are also adding requirements to some inspections. Testing criteria, means, and procedures shall be noted for after-the-fact and after-cover-up inspections. Inspection letters submitted with out these requirements or letters submitted that are contrary to building codes will not be accepted.
