INSTRUCTIONS TO THE SHERIFF OF COLUSA COUNTY The Sheriff must have written instructions, signed by the plaintiff/creditor representing him/her self or the attorney of record in accordance with California Civil Procedure code 262. The Sheriff is entitled to his fee for service, whether or not the service is successful in accordance with Government Code 26738. You will receive proof of service in the mail unless directed otherwise.
