Do not include matter being eliminated and do not use italics or underlinine to indicate new matter: County of Cortland County ' L £ 0 A local law: Adopt the 1999 Retirement Incentive Program (Chapter 70, Laws of 1999) Be it enacted by the Cortland County Legislature ofthe County of Cortland as follows: 1. Cortland County hereby elects to provide all of its eligible employees with ten or more years of service, a retirement incentive program authorized by Chapter 70, Laws of 1999. 2. 'The commencement date of the retirement incentive program shall be October 3, 1999. 3. The open period, during which eligible employees may retire and receive the additional retirement benefit, shall be ninety (90) days in length, but not after December 31, 1999. 4. The actuarial present value of the additional retirement benefits payable pursuant to the provisions of this local law shall be paid as one lump sum or in five annual installments. The amount of the annual payment shall be determined by the Actuary of the New York state and Local Employees' Retirement System, and it shall be paid by Cortland County for each employee who receives the retirement benefits payable under this local law. 5. This act shall take effect upon filing as required by law. ---PAGE BREAK--- ON MOTION OF MR. DWYER RESOLUTION NO. 389-99 ADOPT LOCAL LAW NO. 2 FOR THE YEAR 1999 1999 RETIREMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM WHEREAS, proposed Local Law No. 2 for the year 1999 elects to provide a retirement incentive program, and said local law was introduced at the Cortland County Legislature Session held on July 14, 1999, AND WHEREAS, said Local Law has been in its final form upon the desks of the members of the Legislature at least seven calendar days, exclusive of Sunday, prior to this date, AND WHEREAS, a public hearing thereon has been held before this Legislature after publication of notice thereof required by law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Law No. 2 for the year 1999 shall take effect upon filing as required by law.
