Addendum to Transportation RFP 1. Based on contract language, Contractors are unable to bill for No Call/No Shows which is a recent change to the current contract, which we have had 291 No Call/No Shows within the past 9 months. This change could result in an increase to contractor’s rates because contractors would need to assume the cost into their pricing despite not being unable to bill for it. Please confirm that contractors will not be paid for No Call/No Shows. Correct. The county will not pay for no call/no shows. 2. Please confirm that there is not a DBE Goal for this contract, and that a Good Faith Effort is not required. It is a part of the standard contract – it is item 10 on the checklist of documents to be returned and set out in Appendix A –standard clauses for new York state contracts item 12 equal employment opportunities for minorities and women and item 20 omnibus procurement act of 1992 paragraph 2 which tells contactors where a directory of certified MWBE business is available and then sets out the reasonable efforts. 3. First Transit provided 6,821 trips over the last 12 months, should all contractors base their prices on this number of trips to allow for an apples-to-apples comparison for the County, or would the County want contractors to base their prices on a different number of trips? Yes, trends should be considered as a base. Numbers have been trending upwards over the last few years. 4. We were hoping that you could clarify if the County will select either the “Per Child Trip,” or the “Per Route Trip” pricing, and that selection would remain for the entire term of the contract, or if it is the County’s intention to change intermittently throughout the contract term. If the County would change throughout the contract term, would it be on a month-to-month basis, or on an annual basis? The final contract will be either per trip or per route. We will not change during the term of the contract.
