Foster Parent Mileage Sheet Foster child needs to be in the vehicle for mileage to be reimbursable and for the following reasons only: medical, dental, counseling, visitation with siblings or parents, court, school conferences, DSS, IL class and activities. Deputy Commissioner’s approval is required for a foster child to be transported to and from school that is not the foster parent’s school district. If you are not sure if certain mileage is reimbursable, please check with the child’s caseworker. Receipts are required for parking fee reimbursement.
