2017 CORTLAND COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT SPECIFICATIONS AND BID FORMS SUPPLY OF CORRUGATED POLYETHYLENE PIPE, COUPLINGS, AND END SECTIONS The bid shall be in conformance with the terms and conditions specified in the Advertisement for Bids, and shall also be in conformance with the following specifications. SPECIFICATIONS: The materials bid shall conform to the following NYSDOT Specifications. BID ITEM *NYSDOT SPECIFICATION Perforated Corrugated Polyethylene Underdrain Tubing 706-13 Smooth Interior Corrugated 706-12 Polyethylene Pipe End Sections for Smooth Interior Corrugated 706-12 Polyethylene Pipe * NYSDOT Standard Specifications, Construction and Materials, September 1, 2015, as amended. The bidder shall include written certification that the products to be supplied for this bid meet the above referenced specifications. Pipe shall be bid on a linear foot of pipe basis. Couplings used for connecting sections of pipe will be paid for at the price of one foot of pipe for the correlated pipe size. End Sections shall be bid per each unit and shall match the size of the pipe diameter listed as the end section size. Couplings shall be Corrugated Split Couplings and shall match the pipe corrugations. The width of the Coupling shall not be less than 1/2 the normal diameter of the pipe. The Couplings shall be manufactured to engage an equal number of corrugations on each side of the pipe joint. The couplings shall be supplied to include all necessary ancillary materials used to provide for a complete coupling device, as approved by the pipe manufacturer at no additional cost. “Push on Joint” type of pipe coupling must receive specific written approval of the Cortland County Superintendent of Highways, or designated representative, before it is supplied to the County under this bid. End Sections shall be the standard end sections from the manufacturer of the pipe being supplied under this bid. End Sections shall be supplied with all connecting hardware required by the pipe manufacturer at no additional cost. The Bid Sheet shows estimated bid quantities the County plans to order for 2017 calendar year capital projects. The quantities shown are estimated, and therefore are not guaranteed quantities to be ordered. The actual order the County places may vary, more or less, from the bid quantities. The County reserves the right to place multiple orders at no additional unit cost. The Bidder shall deliver the quantities ordered by the County within 15 days of the order being placed. Bidders must bid all sizes listed, f.o.b. delivered to Cortland County Highway Garage at 4267 Traction Drive, Cortland, NY 13045. No separate or additional payments will be made to the bidder for transporting pipe. A complete statement of ordering lead time notice required, and maximum time required for delivery must accompany each bid. Bids must have all items denoted in the “Checklist of documents to be returned with contract” attached. These items can be found in the Standard Clauses for NY State Contracts document and shall be considered a required submission for this bid.
