Press Release: November 3, 2017 From: Nicole Anjeski, Public Health Programs Manager, Cortland County Health Department. KIDDE FIRE EXTINGUSHER RECALL! On November 2, Kidde announced a recall on their Fire Extinguishers with plastic handles due to failure to discharge and nozzle detachment. Kidde is recommending that these fire extinguishers need replacement. Consumers should contact Kidde through their toll-free number @ [PHONE REDACTED] from 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3 pm Saturday and Sunday, or online at www.kidde.com and click on “Product Safety Recall” for more information. Participants of the Cortland County Healthy Neighborhoods Program may have received one of these recalled fire extinguishers. We encourage everyone to look at their fire extinguishers and make sure they are not part of the recall.
