Cortland County Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board 60 Central Avenue Cortland, NY 13045 September 30, 2009 Onondaga County Sheriff Department Sheriff Kevin Walsh 407 South State Street Syracuse, NY 13202 Dear Sheriff Walsh, It has come to our attention that there are currently discussions within county government to reduce or eliminate the Air One program operated within your department. For many years, Air One has been a critical resource for emergency responders in Central New York. Loss of this resource will certainly impact emergency medical services within Onondaga County and the surrounding region. At the September 2009 regular meeting of the Cortland County Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board, the board discussed the reduction of Air One and voted to express its support for this vital program continuing in its current form.
