Foam Handline Set up and Flow a Foam Handline – 2002 Edition, NFPA 1001 5.1.1.2, 5.3, 6.3 NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF STATE Skill Sheet 11-1 Candidate's Name Date Evaluator's Name Evaluator's Signature The candidate, given a complete set of PPE, SCBA, and an engine with foam generating and distribution equipment, shall, operating as member of a team, set up and flow foam from a handline in accordance with Delmar, Firefighter’s Handbook, 2 ed., NYS ed. Time limit for this station is 10 minutes. 02/2007 Criteria: Pass Fail Correctly assembles foam generating equipment (eg. eductor not greater than 6’ above foam concentrate and discharge line length not exceeding manufacturers’ recommendation) Correctly assembles foam distribution equipment (eg. nozzle matched to eductor) Applies and maintains foam blanket (uses bank-on, bank-down or rain down technique) Evaluator Notes
