AUG 2 3 2002 County of Cortland M I S C E L U N E O U S Local L a w No. 5 ofthe year 2002. ^ S T A T E R E C O R D S A local law Adopting the 2002 Retirement Incentive Program (Chapter 69, Laws of 2002) Be it enacted by the LEGISLATURE of the County of Cortland as follows: BE IT ENACTED BY the Cortland County Legislature as follows: 1. Cortland County hereby elects to provide its eligible employees as targeted by the Cortland County Legislature with a retirement incentive program authorized by Chapter 69, Laws of 2002. 2. The commencement date of the retirement incentive program shall be October 3, 2002. 3. The open period during which eligible employees may retire and receive the additional retirement benefit, shall be ninety (90) days in length. 4. The actuarial present value of the additional retirement benefits payable pursuant to the provisions of this local law shall be paid as one lump sum or in five annual installments. The amount ofthe annual payment shal! be determined by the Actuary of the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System, and it shall be paid by Cortland County for each employee who receives the retirement benefits payable under this local law. 5. This act shall take effect upon filing as required by law. (If additional space is needed, attach pages the same size as this sheet, and number each.)
