ADDENDUM NO. 1 Recycling Transfer Station Operations Date Issued: December 22, 2016 General: Addendum No. 1 addresses questions regarding the proposal for the Recycling Transfer Station Operations. Question: 1. The RFP states we can only ship 10% residue. What is the county’s position on customers delivering contaminated material with residue over 10%? (Reference Page 13) Answer: 1. If customers arrive with obviously more than 10% residue, they should be turned away. They would not be in compliance with the County’s recycling requirements. Question: 2. Does the county expect volume reporting by inbound customer? If yes, can you provide scale software that has reporting capability? (Reference Page 9) Answer: 2. Software would be provided by the County. Question: 3. Page 9 - “The County reserves the right to impose permit cost and user fees”. The contractor would like to further understand their responsibility in regards to this statement. Answer: 3. If permits are introduced as a requirement (administered by the County), the contractor would need to visually verify that the vehicle has a permit sticker. If user fees are introduced, the County would have the option of providing personnel to collect the fees.
