2018 CORTLAND COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT SPECIFICATIONS AND BID FORM SUPPLY OF STONE FILLING MATERIALS The bid shall be in conformance with the terms and conditions specified in the Advertisement for Bids, and shall also be in conformance with the following specifications. The Bidder shall submit a bid price for all Stone Filling items listed on the bid form. A bid, which is submitted without bids for all items on the Bid Form, shall not be considered a valid bid. The Stone Filling materials shall be delivered to designated stockpiles located at various Cortland County Highway Department project site locations in Cortland County, NY within two work days from receiving a verbal order for materials from the Cortland County Highway Department. It is the Cortland County's intent to award to the lowest bidder for each of the individual Stone Filling items. The County reserves the right to order based on both price and availability. All bids shall include all items listed in the “Checklist of documents for submission” found on page 1 of the Cortland County Standard Contract - 2018. SPECIFICATIONS: MATERIALS: The Stone Filling materials and mine source shall have been approved or shall be capable of being approved for use as a Stone Filling source by the N.Y.S. Department of Transportation Materials Bureau. The Stone Filling materials shall meet the requirements set forth in Subsections 620-2.01 and 620-2.02 of Section 620 - Bank and Channel Protection, of the current N.Y.S. Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Standard Specifications including Table 733- 21A and Table 733-21B. ---PAGE BREAK--- METHOD OF MEASUREMENT: The method of measurement shall be the number of Tons delivered to the stockpiles located at various Cortland County Highway Department project sites within Cortland County, NY. The quantity of material to be ordered for the various Stone Filling items is not specified as it shall be considered to be on an "as needed" and “as ordered” quantity basis. BASIS FOR PAYMENT: The prices bid per Ton for the various Stone Filling items shall include the cost of mining, sorting the stone filling to achieve proper gradation as specified, outloading onto suitable transport trucks and transporting to the stockpiles located at various Cortland County Highway Department project sites within Cortland County, NY.
