JPR 14-12 Time limit for this station is 10 minutes. 02/2007 Criteria: Pass Fail Carries, raises and secures extension ladder using an approved method Checks for overhead obstructions before raising Tip of extension ladder is a minimum of 5 rungs above roof edge Extends roof hooks and places roof ladder on shoulder Lead firefighter climbs to roof level on extension ladder, applies leg lock and slides roof ladder (on beam or hooks) until hooks go over ridge Second firefighter climbs to an appropriate height, applies leg lock, and assists raising roof ladder Ladder is stable and under control at all times Candidate safely descends ladder (maintains hand contact with ladder at all times) Candidate correctly lowers ladder to ground Evaluator Notes
