Is the IT department aware of any special permits or licenses that will be required for this project? No 2. Is a Cortland, NY Business License Required? No 3. There are two Railroad Crossings along the route, can you please provide copies of the existing Railroad Crossing permits? The County has negotiated with the railroad to allow crossing their tracks. You will need to coordinate with the railroad for when your equipment is going to be on their tracks. 4. Has the County had any previous negotiations with the Railroads prior to issuing this RFP? Yes. 5. Can the county provide a description of each building entrance? a. Footages i. Exterior and interior County Office Building Approximately 400’ to 500’ from where the fiber enters the building to the Network Operations Center (NOC). Regional Training Center There is metal conduit all the way to the demarcation point. The fiber will enter in the basement and the demarc point is approximately 144’ away. b. Existing pathway, J hooks, wall penetrations There is existing pathways in both buildings. c. Existing conduits and size i. Is a pull string and ample space available? Yes, in both buildings. 6. Has Cortland County, NY registered this project as prevailing wage? a. If so, please provide the Serial Number (PRC#). Yes, PRC# [PHONE REDACTED] 7. Will Cortland County, NY provide a laydown yard for vehicle, equipment and material storage during the construction of the project? I can arrange that. 8. Would Cortland County, NY consider tree trimming to accommodate the cable installation in advance of the project? I don’t believe it’s required. 9. Typically, 8:00 to 5:00. 10. Does the contract and its exhibits need to be completed and submitted with the bid? Yes. 11. What is the estimated cost of the project? $50,000 to $75,000.
