This program is a way that our county can recognize the service and sacrifices made by those who have served our country through the armed services. Under the “RETURN THE FAVOR” Discount Program, eligible individuals would receive a picture ID card, identifying them as a veteran. Participating county merchants would agree to honor the card by providing holders with a discount on purchases or services. An attractive professionally designed window poster will be provided identifying the merchant as a participant of this most admirable initiative. Additionally, the merchants name, address and discount particulars will be printed in a pamphlet form and distributed to Cortland’s veterans. Involvement in the program is beneficial to businesses that will undoubtedly realize increased traffic and sales.
